Indonesia | Bali – A Dream Destination with Two Faces

Indonesia is a fascinating archipelago of over 17,000 islands – a true paradise for explorers. From dense jungles and active volcanoes to endless beaches, the country offers an impressive diversity. Its cultures are as colorful as its landscapes, and the warmth of its people makes every journey special.

Bali is considered Indonesia’s most famous destination. The island attracts visitors with spectacular temples, surf spots, and rice terraces – a place long cherished for its spirituality and natural beauty.

oday, however, Bali has also become a hotspot for digital nomads and mass tourism. Many places feel like Instagram backdrops, while local culture and the environment struggle under the pressure of tourism.

Our one-week stay was a stopover on the way from the Philippines to Australia – and a break from constant traveling. Still, we’d love to share a few tips with you.
